Believing In Our Past… Present… and Future…
From its grassroots as an extramural sport in 1968 at Indiana University, Softball has come a long way. Head coaches Jenny Johnson, Louetta Bloecher, Ann Lawver, Gayle Blevins, Diane Stephenson, Sara Hayes, Stacey Phillips and currently, Michelle Gardner, have all left, and are still leaving, their indelible marks on the program. Indiana Softball gardnered Big Ten Titles in 1983, 1985, 1986, and 1994, and received NCAA tournament bids 6 times.
There is a lot of history behind IU Softball. We are proud of where we came from and all who came before us. Thank you to all of the past and present players, coaches, fans, family and supporters of our program.
One day at a time… working to be better every day… WE ARE IU SOFTBALL… and we’re having some fun doing it!
Here are our stories…
Indiana O’ Indiana!!! I will forever be grateful and reminded of the opportunities that I was afforded as a student-athlete for the Indiana softball program. Best of luck in 2010. I will be at the UNLV tournament to cheer for the Hoosiers. THANKS IU
